Quote from Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling

Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling was asked: How [do you] about asking a horse to do something rather than telling?

Klaus said:
The important thing is never to want anything. You should BE with the horse and find out, which is the next organic step for him to grow. It is always about showing or explaining the horse. Being, living, explaining – and representing yourself with joy and strength. The background alway is that your position, in accordance to leadership, is clear from the beginning. Trust and dominance is always the first thing. The horse is always free to express itself. And if there is something wrong, it is always the human which did not explained himself clearly enough.
